Needed to streamline cutting things in Houdini.
Built this custom Vellum softbody knife. It handles pretty much any pre-fractured stuff you throw at it 😊.
Technically it's a custom coded collider that pushes the sides apart. Made with some VEX wrangling in DOPs.
Another small challenge was to transfer the pieces' animation back to the mesh. Next time will look into more #procedural fracturing for it.
